Why We’re Committed to Women’s Heart Health

In a very comprehensive podcast, Prof. Claire Mounier-Vehier, MD, explained her commitment to women’s heart health and gave prevention advice everyone can apply daily.

Two hundred women die every day from cardiovascular disease in France and 25,000 die worldwide. Stroke, heart attacks and heart failure could be avoided in 8 out of 10 cases by adopting a healthy lifestyle. Prof. Mounier-Vehier also shared prevention tips that we don’t talk about often enough, such as kindness. For example, by smiling at another person, we release endorphins, which will relax us. It's also important to allow yourself to do things you enjoy and stop thinking you have to be productive all the time. Don’t hesitate to take a step back and slow things down. And remember to take care of yourself. Women’s Cardiovascular Healthcare Foundation and Apivia Mutuelle are teaming up to share these prevention tips with you.
