The heart and sex are very closely linked.

A fulfilling sex life is good for your health. And so is love! People who have sex less than 12 times a year have a higher risk of cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality. As frequency increases, the risks gradually decrease, reaching a minimum between 1 and 2 sexual encounters per week.
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-024-83414-3 According to the WHO, sexual intercourse is a moderate-intensity activity, comparable to the energy expended in climbing two flights of stairs in 10 seconds without stopping or walking briskly, to which is added a significant emotional component. It offers all the benefits of physical activity: it stimulates the heart rate, activates blood circulation, strengthens the heart, and also helps eliminate toxins. By increasing the production of certain antibodies, regular sexual activity also strengthens the immune system and makes the body more resistant to common infections. It is also beneficial for mental health: the release of various hormones linked to pleasure, known as endorphins, has a protective effect against stress and improves sleep quality. Being in love also has a positive impact on health, reducing the risk of mortality. A meta-analysis of more than 300,000 participants reveals that for happy couples, the reduction is 20% compared to unhappy couples. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/23527470/ Be careful, heartbreak has the opposite effect: by increasing stress, it increases cardiovascular risk.
