Why and how to move?

placeholder image

Physical activity reduces the risk of developing many illnesses: cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure... not to mention the fact that moving around feels better than sitting still.

Increased physical activity also reduces the risk of obesity and certain age-related effects. For children, physical activity strengthens their health capital, making them more resistant to disease as adults. A reminder: women are less physically active than men.

How can you get moving?
Regular physical activity
Walk or cycle instead of taking the car
Take the stairs instead of the elevator
Get up for at least 10 minutes every two hours
Walk your children to school
Do gardening, DIY, housework
Acquire the reflex to move as soon as possible, instead of sitting still...

For how long?
At least 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity 5 times a week can reduce premature cardiovascular mortality by 35%.

Our advice
As soon as possible, do some physical activity for 10 minutes or more that makes you breathe harder, your heart beat faster and you feel warmer. You should be able to carry on a normal conversation during your activity, without feeling out of breath.
