A healthy heart

Pr Claire Mounier-Vehier took part in the program "Un coeur en bonne santé", directed by Setti Dali and broadcast on France 5. Michel Cymes and his team followed 3 patients over a 3-month period, helping them to take an active preventive approach: from fractional exercise to new ways of eating, they were given proof that a heart in poor health is not a heart doomed to die.
With 1.1 million viewers at the time of broadcast, this 90-minute report was very well received. A sign that prevention is becoming a real concern for the French. Virginie's account of her heart attack is a perfect illustration of the signs felt by women. "I was very tired and short of breath at the slightest effort. I saw myself sitting down and crying on the stairs because I couldn't walk up the 2 flights of stairs in my house," she recounts. Coached by Stéphane Diagana, she was able to resume running after three months of support!
