The Paris Bar

The Paris Bar is one of the largest in Europe, with more than 34,000 lawyers out of a total of nearly 72,000 in France. With its rich, centuries-old history, the Bar is presided over by Pierre Hoffman, President of the Bar, and Vanessa Bousardo, Vice-President of the Bar, who represent Parisian lawyers in their dealings with the public and public authorities. Alongside the Conseil de l'Ordre, made up of 42 elected lawyers, the President and Vice-President of the Paris Bar deal with issues concerning the legal profession, its organization and future, as well as justice and its administration, the protection of human rights, respect for civil liberties and access to law and justice for all.
