The risk of cardiovascular disease in women remains largely unknown and underestimated. Yet it is a major issue for women's health promotion because, as in men, the leading cause of death in women is cardiovascular disease!

Today, there are more fatal cardiac accidents in women than in men, with a worrying increase among women under 65.

It's becoming crucial to support women's cardiovascular health through awareness-raising and training initiatives, focusing in particular on :
- cardiovascular risk factors
- recognition of cardiovascular symptoms in women, which may differ from those in men
- specific cardiovascular risks associated with contraception, pregnancy and menopause.

These actions concern both the general population and the community of healthcare professionals.

The Club des Jeunes Hypertensiologues (CjH) fully supports the objectives of the "Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes/Women's CardioVascular Healthcare Foundation" endowment fund, which through its 3 major areas of intervention (Alerting to risk, Anticipating through cardiovascular prevention and Acting through healthcare pathways), aims to save the lives of 10,000 women within 5 years.

The CjH's doctors are committed to promoting women's cardiovascular health by supporting its training initiatives for healthcare professionals and participating in its public awareness campaigns.
