An explosive cocktail with worrying results: high blood pressure, poorly controlled blood sugar levels for diabetics, but also weight gain in both men and women. And there's another risk: blood clots, which can cause phlebitis or pulmonary embolism if you don't move enough. The same applies to prolonged sitting on a plane without drinking enough water... A few tips to avoid this: get up and take a few steps for ten minutes every two hours. Drink at least a liter and a half a day, avoiding high-sugar soft drinks. Exercise a little, climb the stairs several times a day, or always make phone calls while standing up, for example. It's up to us to recreate our own balance in the face of constraints...
