Pr Claire Mounier-Vehier invites you to join her on France 5 this Tuesday, April 20 at 8:50 pm in the documentary "Femmes : les oubliées de la santé" (Women: the forgotten health care professionals) directed by Véronique Preault. Women are less well diagnosed than men, and less quickly treated. The report begins with Dominique, admitted to the emergency department of Lille University Hospital. She never imagined she would suffer a heart attack. The investigation continues, tracing how, at every stage, women suffer a loss of opportunity. Women think cardiovascular disease is only for men. So they tend to call for help too late. To make matters worse, the symptoms are different and generally harder to decipher. As a result, many women die of cardiovascular disease when they shouldn't.
