Putting women back at the heart of their health

On May 7, the CPTS des Hauts de l'Aisne, in partnership with the Mairie de la Capelle en Thiérache (Aisne), hosted "Women's Heart Day".
As a reminder, cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death among women, with 200 women dying every day in France.
Faced with this medical and societal emergency, and aware that in rural areas like Thiérache, where specialists are rare and inequalities in access to care are significant, women in vulnerable situations feel "forgotten" by the healthcare system.
Against this backdrop, the CPTS wanted to set up a free, comprehensive and caring 6-stage screening day with Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes.
This Women's Heart Day was a real success, with 70 women benefiting from the screening. All this in a warm and dynamic atmosphere, supported by speakers and experts all highly motivated by this action aimed at taking care of women.
Feedback from participants and health professionals involved in the event was extremely positive. Women who wished to make an appointment, but were unable to make it, can rest assured that everyone is keen to repeat the event!
This initiative is part of a region-wide prevention drive spearheaded by the CPTS des Hauts de l'Aisne, which is stepping up these actions throughout its territory.
Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes would like to salute and thank all the teams involved in this Women's Heart Day and its success, for the benefit of the region's women.
The Women's Day of the Heart at La Capelle testifies to the agility of the organization: Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes is involved in all regions: urban, rural, outlying and overseas. More than 50 Women's Heart Days will be organized in 2025.
