Presentation
The Observatoire National de la Santé des Femmes (ONSF) is an observational and scientific mechanism of Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes. It highlights the alarming nature of the medical and societal emergency constituted by cardiovascular disease in women. Since 2021, Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes has been compiling and analyzing medical records from the Women's Heart Bus screenings and, since 2024, from Women's Heart Day. With a cohort of over 13,000 women over 4 years, the Observatory provides a comprehensive snapshot of women's cardiovascular and gyneco-obstetric health in France, listing all the risk factors identified in the screening programs (over 170 markers) proposed in the prevention campaigns.
The Observatoire National de la Santé des Femmes is supported by the Assurance Maladie, the French Ministry of Health and private partners including the Dassault Group.
Steering the Observatory
The Observatoire National de la Santé des Femmes is steered by Pr Claire Mounier-Véhier, Co-Founder of Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes, professor of cardiology and vascular medicine, and Patrick Devos, biostatistician at Lille University Hospital.
CHU de Lille is the project's legal sponsor, in partnership with Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes.
The Scientific Committee of Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes benefits from the exploitation of the Observatory's annual data and the concrete lessons learned from screening actions. These data enable the members of the Scientific Committee to make ad hoc recommendations in support of the endowment fund's scientific strategy.
