The precautions are simple: train your heart muscle regularly, eat a healthy diet, avoid smoking, listen to your body, measure your blood pressure regularly and seek medical advice at the first sign of trouble. The symptoms of heart attack, which are frequently atypical in women, should not be overlooked: a feeling of exhaustion or extreme fatigue, progressive shortness of breath on exertion, sudden tightness in the chest, acute pain in the upper back, between the shoulder blades or in the neck, frequent palpitations, cold sweats, recurrent digestive signs: nausea, gastric discomfort or burning.... Be particularly attentive when you have several risk factors: smoking, physical inactivity, overweight-obesity, stress, high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, contraception with synthetic estrogens...
