Bus du Cœur des Femmes: nearly 600 women screened in La Rochelle and Montauban

The Women's Heart Bus tour continues into the first half of 2024. With the two stops in La Rochelle and Montauban, a total of 576 women have been screened. These two stages would not have been possible without the invaluable help of Dr Laura Serrano in La Rochelle, and Clarisse Heuland, health deputy at Montauban town hall.
Once again, it's the strength of our territorial network that has made such a mobilization possible.

Bus du Cœur des Femmes: nearly 600 women screened in La Rochelle and Montauban

By tirelessly applying the "outreach" principle, and by making contact with the medical profession less dramatic, Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes has already been able to screen almost 10,000 women since the launch of its operation. Of these, 90% had at least two cardiovascular risk factors, and almost half had both cardiovascular and gyneco-obstetric risk factors.
10,000 women who could not have been screened without the strength of the grassroots: our regional ambassadors.
It's thanks to this strength and the territorial network we've built up over the past 4 years that we're now able to dig ever deeper into the various regions of France.
While the Bus was able to continue its work in Charente-Maritime, and more particularly in La Rochelle, after its passage in 2022, it also discovered Montauban and the Esplanade des Fontaines, thanks to Brigitte Barèges, the town's mayor, who had expressed a strong desire to see the Bus pass through her town.
Two undeniable successes for the benefit of women in these areas, which we also owe to the strong mobilization of healthcare professionals who always respond to the call of the Women's Heart Bus.

Let's not forget that cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death among French women, and that in 8 out of 10 cases, these deaths could be avoided through effective prevention!
