Bus du Coeur des Femmes 2021: a very positive assessment!

In the 5 towns involved, over a thousand women in vulnerable situations were screened and identified.

The two objectives of the experimental Women's Heart Bus tour in 2021 have been met and exceeded:
- screen 200 women in precarious situations in each stopover city (Lille, Marseille, Avignon, La Rochelle and Saint-Étienne);
- raise public awareness of cardiovascular disease, the leading cause of death among women.

The results were clear: the vast majority of women screened had at least one cardiovascular risk factor, and had not had any gynecological check-ups for many years. Some women were referred for more in-depth examinations because of a risk of cardiovascular accident.

All those involved - towns, health professionals, associations and volunteers - agree that the Women's Heart Bus has saved many lives. The importance of cardiovascular and gynecological prevention and monitoring is now unanimously recognized.

The results reinforce the determination of the Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes teams to carry out nationwide campaigns aimed at all women.

In the spring of 2022, the Bus du Cœur des Femmes will set off again on the roads of France, stopping in 20 towns to meet women in vulnerable situations. At that time, Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes will publish a comprehensive study based on the medical data collected during this first edition.

The Women's Heart Bus aims to be the largest screening and detection operation for cardiovascular pathologies, covering 80 towns by 2025.
