The simplified EPICES score

This score is an individual indicator of precariousness used in the Centres d'Examens de Santé funded by the Assurance Maladie.

The simplified EPICES score

The EPICES score (Evaluation de la Précarité et des Inégalités de santé dans les Centres d'Examens de Santé) takes into account the multidimensional nature of precariousness. The main interest of the EPICES score is to capture populations which, while not covered by traditional administrative indicators of precariousness, present the same health risks. A simplified version has been developed to identify people in vulnerable situations.
The simplified EPICES score is downloadable on the Agir pour le Coeur des Femmes website in its fiches pratiques section. It is used in the Bus du Coeur des Femmes screening campaign, which targets women in vulnerable situations.
The Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Maladie and its network of regional Caisses Primaires are partners in this screening campaign, making available the simplified EPICES tool and the possibility of putting vulnerable screened women back on a health pathway, by being present in the screening towns.
