I've had high blood pressure and diabetes for a long time, yet I take all the medication I'm given, but it doesn't work. Several times during the year, 3 or 4 times, I had to go to the emergency room, because I was very short of breath with water in my lungs and my blood pressure at 20 or 22. I only stayed a day with a drip, but my blood tests are getting worse and worse for my heart and kidneys.
I know a doctor from our village well, "God bless him", he's at the hospital in Marseille and my daughter tells him about my case. He gave me a doppler for my kidneys: one artery was completely blocked and the other almost as much. My doctor sent me to see a kidney specialist, who told me I'd soon be on dialysis. But no... "mi ni moru" (Translator's note: literally "I'm dying"). Someone from the village goes down to the hospital 3 times a week: that's no way to live.
This doctor sent me to Marseille for an operation. I stayed at the Timone hospital for only 3 days, and the operation lasted 2 hours without general anaesthetic to dilate this artery, because he's a very good surgeon.
I went home and since then I've never been hospitalized again, my blood pressure is 14 on my machine, my ankles are no longer very swollen and my tests are much better, even for diabetes. As for the artery, now on the ultrasound everything looks good, with blood circulating very well.
This happened to me 3 years ago... I thought that at my age, 86, you couldn't be operated on anymore. A lot of progress has been made in these big hospitals. Thank you all so much.
November 10, 2022, around 5:20 p.m., marked a turning point in my life. Since then, there has been a before and an after. That day, during a routine boxing workout, a sharp pain shot up between my shoulder blades, gradually spreading to my neck and then to my jaw. I wasn’t worried, thinking I’d [...]
I carefully read your publications and Pr Claire Mounier-Vehier's posts. Thanks to your alerts on women's hearts, I was able to save one of my friends. 60 years old, smoker, divorced, with stress at work, she regularly complained of a diffuse pain in her back that radiated to her arms, and [...]
On October 1, I had a violent pain in my chest when I arrived at work. It was unbearable. I rushed to the nearest emergency room. It really hurts. The people in front of me in the waiting room put me ahead of them, because they see how much pain I'm in. The doctor in charge makes an immediate [...]
