Nearly 15,000 women screened on the Women's Heart Bus

In the 16 cities involved in the 2024 stage, 4,620 women were screened free of charge, representing an average of around 300 screenings per stage.

Nearly 15,000 women have been screened since the Bus was launched just over three years ago. 1,473 healthcare professionals were involved in 2024, either as volunteers or on loan from local health structures. Women who need it can access a complete check-up in around two hours, which can otherwise take several months. The initiative has met with real enthusiasm among healthcare professionals, who find it a meaningful part of their job as caregivers, thanks to privileged contact with all the players involved.

The Women's Heart Bus reaches out to all women, especially those most at risk, those who don't have the time to take care of themselves,
who find themselves in vulnerable situations (financial, medical, social...). At the end of the 10-step program, women who need it are taken care of and reintegrated into a cardio-gynecological care program.

By involving the entire local healthcare ecosystem, the Bus brings effective screening as close as possible to where women live. It helps to train healthcare professionals in the specificities of women's cardio-gynaecological risks, and to raise awareness among the general public.

Only collective action involving local players can be truly effective in the long term. Local roots are essential. It's not enough to stay in a town for three days a year... We're helping to build a multidisciplinary, cross-generational network of talent in the service of women's health, to save lives on a daily basis. It continues to exist when the Bus is gone.
