Research: first results from the National Observatory on Women's Health

The article, signed by Dr Manon Jouffroy, Patrick Devos, Thierry Drilhon and Pr Claire Mounier-Vehier, describes the method and results of a national prevention campaign conducted throughout France on the innovative theme of cardio-gynecology.

Based on data from the first 4,300 women welcomed on the Women's Heart Bus, the publication highlights the fact that women of all generations are under-screened and under-treated, both in terms of cardiovascular and gynecological care. Those who do receive treatment are poorly controlled, particularly for high blood pressure.

The initial findings of the Observatoire National de la Santé des Femmes highlight the benefits of preventive medicine in France, which relies on private initiatives such as the Fondation Agir pour le Coeur des Femmes. Further work will follow, directed by its Scientific Council, chaired by Pr Geneviève Plu-Bureau.

This is also an opportunity to thank our donors, partners and benefactors. With exclusively private funding, they enable us to go beyond screening and carry out epidemiological research, which will contribute to improving professional practices.
