Women's Heart Day, for even greater prevention!

In over two years, nearly 10,000 women have already benefited from free cardiovascular & gynecological screening thanks to the Bus du Coeur des Femmes. Capitalizing on this experience, Agir pour le Cœur des Femmes aims to accelerate preventive action by involving healthcare establishments in the regions closest to women. The Endowment Fund announces the roll-out of the "Women's Heart Day" in early March 2024, in order to Act on gender inequalities in health.

Women's Heart Day, for even greater prevention!

The main aim of this new prevention initiative is to screen even more women in areas that are sometimes far from the healthcare system, and to do so in partnership with healthcare establishments such as hospitals, clinics, multidisciplinary health centers, etc. Complementing the Women's Heart Bus with Women's Heart Day is a public health priority for the Endowment Fund, giving access to prevention to a very large number of women, eventually covering all territories in France.

Organized over one or more days, and building on the experience of the 30 stages of the Women's Heart Bus, this new national prevention operation offers a 6-stage screening program in which each woman can benefit from multidisciplinary medical interviews in welcoming conditions, with blood pressure measurement, lipid and glycemic tests, ECG and vascular echo-doppler if necessary. Cardiovascular and/or gynecological check-ups will be offered as a follow-up to the care pathway.
Five dates have already been scheduled for March, with further appointments scheduled for the end of the year in May.
In 2025, Women's Heart Day will be ramping up even further, as it is scheduled to stop at 30 care centers across France. And let's not forget the French overseas territories, where Women's Heart Day will make a stopover in Nouméa on March 9.
