An exceptional citizen mobilization for a new Women's Heart Bus

On the night of June 28-29, during urban violence across France, the Women's Heart Bus was set on fire while parked in Bobigny for its last stop before the summer break.
Around 300,000 euros worth of equipment went up in smoke: the bus and its trailer, the mini-laboratory on board, electrocardiographs, echo-dopplers, hundreds of auto-tensiometers that were offered to women taking part in the screenings, all the signage, as well as almost 700 files on screened women...
Beyond the shock, we immediately had to think about reconstruction. How could we get the operation back on the road in time for the autumn, so that we could offer screening to the thousands of women waiting for the Bus to pass through their town during the 7 stages scheduled for the end of the year, and the 15 new ones in 2024? On June 30, a solidarity fund was launched in the hope of getting the Women's Heart Bus back on the road this autumn.
