An ICAM engineer and CPA graduate, Jean-Luc Souflet spent the first part of his career in the textile industry, successively in production, industrial and logistics management, management control and general management.
In 1996, Jean-Luc Souflet and Jean Duforest founded the children's fashion brand OKAÏDI, with the aim of making business work for people. In 2005, they co-piloted the takeover of JACADI PARIS and founded IDGROUP. In 2010, the FNAC éveil et jeux brand, renamed OXYBUL éveil et jeux, joined the group. At the same time, the group developed a network of crèches under the RIGOLO COMME LA VIE brand. Since 2015, IDGROUP has been rolling out its new ÏDKIDS concept. Drawing on its 3 core brands OKAÏDI, OBAÏBI, OXYBUL éveil et jeux, this web and retail community platform offers a range of brands, products and services that are beneficial and militant for children, sharing the "ACT FOR KIDS" CSR project.
Present in 70 countries with 1,300 stores, IDGROUP achieved sales of 900 million euros in 2022, of which around 12% on the Web. Jean-Luc Souflet is currently Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the holding company, ID Valeurs.
Until the end of 2019, Jean-Luc Souflet was also Chairman of PICOM (Pôle de compétitivité des industries du commerce), which since 2005 has developed an ecosystem linking major retailers, technology companies, innovative SMEs and research establishments to anticipate the commerce of the future. This cluster has now merged with Cap Digital, of which he is a director. He is also a member of CESER Haut de France.
Jean Luc Souflet is also a director of the Icam Group, where he chaired the board until 2017. An engineering school founded in Lille, the group's campuses are now located in 5 regions in France, India, Brazil and 3 African countries, where he is particularly involved in Cameroon and Congo. He also chairs EPICC, a textile production school designed to provide vocational training for school dropouts.
Witnessing the sudden death of his wife on African soil, his journey led him to meet Claire Mounier and to place himself at the service of her foundation.
